A mobile vocoder sequencer for exploring everyday sounds and musical timbres.

I co-developed Daily Life Vocoder, a mobile vocoder sequencer that blends everyday sounds with music to explore timbre. It runs on iOS and Android through MobMuPlat, with audio processing implemented in Pure Data.

An eight-step sequencer selects a sound modulator at each step. Users can record sounds through the phone’s microphone, choose which steps trigger modulation, and tilt the phone to adjust playback speed and the mix between the original and processed music.
